WARSAW — Extreme foggy conditions likely played a role in a two-vehicle crash that left at least two men hurt Friday night, Nov. 30, about three miles south of Warsaw on SR 15.
According to officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, a black Volkswagen Jetta carrying three occupants and a red or maroon GMC Terrain carrying one occupant collided in the intersection of SR 15 and CR 300S. The Jetta was traveling eastbound on CR 300S and the Terrain was traveling southbound on SR 15 when the collision occurred. The accident occurred at approximately 9 p.m.
Extrication of at least two patients was required at the scene and was completed by 9:21 p.m. Officers at the scene said two men were transported by ambulance to nearby hospitals but didn’t rule out the possibility of more victims needing to be transported.
First responders at the scene requested helicopter support, but officials connected with air rescue units declined due to the poor visibility.
