MILFORD — Nichole and Joseph Graff lost most of everything they own when their home caught fire this afternoon, Wednesday, Nov. 28. The older one-story home, possibly built in 1945, was quickly engulfed in flames. Their home is located at 112 N. West St., Milford.

Milford Fire Department was notified of the fire at 4:05 p.m. and immediately called for a full assist from Leesburg Fire Department and the ladder truck from Turkey Creek Township Fire Territory. Milford Police Officer Tim Miller was the first on the scene and reported the house was fully engulfed. Milford Firefighters quickly had the fire under control.

Nichole and Joseph were able to escape their home with the clothes on their back. It is anticipated that the fire department will contact the American Red Cross to assist the couple with immediate housing.

The cause is unknown at this time.
