AKRON – NorthWood picked up a pair of road wins in the pool Monday evening, defeating Tippecanoe Valley in boys and girls swimming.

NorthWood’s boys sunk Valley 103-76 while the Lady Panthers held off the Lady Vikes 96-69.

NorthWood claimed seven of the 12 events on the boys side, led by Jason McNeil in both the individual medley (2:15.67) and 500 free (5:28.10) and anchored the 200 free relay to a win at 1:51.98. The Panthers also got wins from Wyatt Petrie in the 50 free (29.64), Alex Bowers in the butterfly (1:22.58), Nick Jones in diving (132.95) and the 400 free relay at 4:00.05.

Mason Stephen was a double winner for Valley in the 100 free (57.84) and the breaststroke (1:12.98), Brandon Hoffman won the backstroke (1:02.62), Dakota Prater took the 200 free (2:05.85) and the Vikings won the opening medley relay at 2:00.41.

Valley’s girls actually claimed nine of the 12 top times in the dual, but didn’t have the depth to make up two and three lane points in its quest against NorthWood.

Olivia Livengood won both the IM (2:34.64) and butterfly (1:09.38), Mayde Fear took the 50 free (28.29) and backstroke (1:15.97) and Jerzey Conley won the 200 free (2:32.37) and breaststroke (1:41.00) to highlight the Vikings, which had the medley relay (2:18.17) and 400 relay (4:29.82) also win, plus Elliana Elliana claim the 100 at 1:07.58.

NorthWood saw Morgan Conrad win the 500 free (6:52.49), Laura Schrock take diving (208.80) and the 200 free relay claim honors at 2:08.77.

NorthWood will visit Warsaw Thursday in Northern Lakes Conference swims while Valley will visit Wabash Thursday in Three Rivers Conference swims.
