KOSCIUSKO — The Kosciusko County 4-H Program held its second annual open house today, Nov. 17, at the Home and Family Arts building.

At the open house, kids in grades three through 12 learned about what the 4-H program has to offer through several interactive booths. Attendees interacted with current 4-H members and leaders while learning about programs such as welding, fire education, livestock projects, robotics, and Lego Club.

“In comparison to last year, this is more of a smaller scale open house,” said 4-H member Valerie Messmore. Last year, Messmore helped create the inaugural 4-H open house for her KYLA project in order to spread awareness about the 4-H program.

A free hot dog bar was offered at the open house along with make-and-take crafts and live demonstrations. After learning about all the 4-H programs and activities, each kid was given the opportunity to sign up for the 4-H program.
