Information Services

The Warsaw Community Public Library is holding its 11th annual adult amateur photography contest. Amateur photographers ages 18 and older may enter up to two photographs taken during 2018 and each entry must have a frame with a wire hanger or an easel. Mats and glass are optional. The categories are color and black/white.

All entries must be at least a five-inch by seven-inch print. While there is no maximum size, the entry must be able to be displayed within the capabilities of Warsaw Community Public Library.

For those submitting portraits, it is the artist’s responsibility to obtain releases from their subjects. The library also reserves the right to refuse to display an entry based upon content, such as nudity.

Photographers must deliver their work during library hours between Saturday, Dec. 1, through Saturday, Dec. 15. Please bring entries to the Adult Reference Desk. Entries will not be accepted after 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15. Rules are available at the reference desk or on the library’s website. Judging will take place the week of Dec. 17 and prizes will be awarded shortly afterwards.

The photographs will be on display at the Warsaw Community Public Library from Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2018, through Thursday, Jan 31, 2019.
