SYRACUSE — An annual and popular event dating back to when the Syracuse Junior High School was still open, the Syracuse Fall Carnival was held Saturday evening, Oct. 27, in the Syracuse Community Center.

Lakeland Youth Center and Syracuse Parks Department sponsored the carnival with assistance from several service organizations. Volunteers included, among others, Wawasee High School students.

Children and adults could be seen in a variety of Halloween costumes.

There were crafts, games, a bounce house, candy, prizes and a costume contest. The costume contest was for ages 0-3, 4-6, 7-9 and 10 plus.
