Dillard ‘Darrell’ Dingess

Dillard “Darrell” Dingess, 71, Larwill, passed away 2:30 a.m., Monday, Oct. 22, 2018, in his residence.  He was born on Dec. 19, 1946, to Burl and Cynthia Jane (Neace) Dingess in Harts Creek, West Virginia.

On Aug. 3, 1991, he was united in marriage to Lindy S. Boyer in Phenix, Arizona.  He worked at Dalton Foundries as a Tow Motor Driver for 35 years until he retired in 2009.  He was a member and Trustee of God’s Highway to Heaven Church, Warsaw. In addition, he enjoyed taking trips with the church, camping and fishing with family and friends, gatherings at the house with the kids, grandkids and great-grandchild.  He was loved by everyone and was always willing to lend a hand to a friend in need.

He is survived by his wife: Lindy S. Dingess, Larwill; son: Darrell “Dewayne” (Dolly) Dingess, Royal Center; siblings: Patricia McNealy,North Manchester; Dallas Ray (Gretchen) Dingess, Warsaw; Loretta (Charles) Pratt, Warsaw; Linda (Jerry) Mora,Concho, Ariz.; grandchildren: Nikki Harris, Chandler, Ariz.; Dewayne “Donovan” Dingess and Danica Dingess, both of Royal Center; a great grandchild, Devante Dominique Dingess also survives.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Tammy Thomas.

Visitation is scheduled for 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 1, in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, Nov. 2,  with visitation one hour prior in God’s Highway to Heaven Church, Warsaw.  Pastor Bob Brown will officiate the Funeral. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
