MILFORD — The Milford Public Library will host the following events in October:

Lights Out At The Library Giveaway

Make sure you visit the library in October and enter a drawing to win a “Dragons Love Tacos” book and toy set. Everyone can enter. Just enter once during the month of October. Winners will be announced on Nov. 2.

Story Time

Children ages three to six are invited to Story Time on Wednesday, Oct. 31 and Thursday, Nov. 1 to learn about scarecrows and pumpkins. Children will create a paper plate scarecrow face, eat haystack cookies, and enjoy stories.

The main goal of Story Time is to encourage a love of learning, books, and the library in children. The library staff wants the library to be a safe and welcoming place for children, and Story Time is full of fun activities.

Sessions are available at 10:15 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. Wednesdays or at 7 p.m. Thursdays. No library card is needed. Register now by calling (574) 658-4312 or e-mailing [email protected].

Knitting Club

Join the members of the Knitting Club between 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, to learn how to knit and/or crochet or work on a project. This is the perfect time of year to start working on Christmas presents. No library card or registration is needed.
