Carolyn R. Sowers, 59, South Whitley, passed away at 5:08 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 30, 2018, in Parkview Whitley Hospital, Columbia City. She was born May 9, 1959, in Columbia City, to Gaylord and Marilyn (Scoby) Sowers. She was employed by Whitko Community Schools as a Custodian.

Survivors include a daughter, Elaine Lynn Hunt, Fort Wayne; a brother: Carl (Laura) Sowers, Warsaw; her lifetime companion, J. E. Hunt of South Whitley; her grandchild, Garret Arthur of Warsaw and one great-grandchild.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 20, in South Whitley Cemetery with Don Plank officiating. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw is entrusted with arrangements.
