WARSAW — A three-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle, an SUV and a semi tractor trailer put one man in the hospital Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 26, in Warsaw.

Robert K. Bryant, 48, EMS B44 Lane, Leesburg, was conscious at the scene but transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital with multiple injuries when the motorcycle he was riding struck one vehicle, changed lanes and then was struck by a semi.

A witness at the scene told police that Bryant was unable to avoid striking the rear of a White Honda CRV, driven by Michaela M. Speicher, 44, North CR 300E, Syracuse. Speicher told police that a vehicle in front of her on US 30 near the intersection with Springhill Road, suddenly stopped in an attempt to make a U-turn. Speicher was able to avoid hitting that vehicle, but her vehicle was struck by Bryant’s motorcycle.

The witness said that following the collision, Bryant was pinned under his own vehicle and that the motorcycle was then struck by a semi driven by Bradley H. Kinkade, 59, Scott Drive, Dwight, Ill. None of the other drivers were injured in the crash.
