Lula Mae Johnston, 79, Warsaw, passed away at 7:21 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, 2018, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne. She was born July 13, 1939, in Peru to Ellsworth and Mable Grace (Franks) Willis.

She attended Bunker Hill High School and was married to Edward Johnston who preceded her in 1988. She lived in the Warsaw area for the past 20 years, wintered in Florida for many years, and retired in 2004 from J.C. Penney in Warsaw after 17 years as a sales clerk.

She attended the Manchester Church of the Brethren and Winona Church of the Brethren.

She is survived by two daughters: Teresa Clingaman, Warsaw; and Victoria Nichols, Riverview, Fla.; two sons: Bruce (Monette) Clingaman, Greenwood; Danny (Guillermina) Clingaman, Warsaw; ten grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; sister: Betty Willis, Peru; brother: Cud (Shirley) Willis, Peru.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three sisters: Fontilla Pittman, Maxine Worley, and Nancy Herdman.

No services are planned at this time. Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. SR 15, Warsaw is in charge of arrangements.
