NORTHWOOD 0, ELKHART MEMORIAL 0

Elkhart provided most of the offense in Tuesday Northern Lakes Conference matchup, but NorthWood had a keeper up to the task.

Kira Robinson made seven saves to keep Memorial off the board in the draw. Memorial’s Cecelia Stevenson was as stout, stopping all three of NorthWood’s chances.

The draw left both teams still without a win in the NLC, with Wood and Memorial both at 0-3-1 in the standings.

NorthWood won the JV contest 3-1. Reagan Hartman, Olivia Craven and Talyn Schmucker all scored for the Panthers.

NorthWood (4-3-2) will take on Goshen Thursday afternoon.

COLUMBIA CITY 5, WAWASEE 2

Wawasee’s defense couldn’t find an answer in stopping City.

The Eagles 21 shots at Wawasee, led by Grace Cotter’s nine shots and one goal, but Skye Roberts was the hero with three goals. Courtney Tobin also scored for City while Joey Stinson and Savannah Simmers both had assists.

Wawasee got its two goals from Sara Pritchard in the 11th minute, assisted by Natalie Winters, and Winters finding the net in the 25th on a feed from Kendra Doerr.

Sam Kolberg made 12 stops in net for the Lady Warriors.

Wawasee (1-8-1) will host Elkhart Christian Thursday.
