SOUTH WHITLEY – Two second half goals were the key for Whitko to pull out a victory over Wawasee Wednesday evening.

Audrey Bradford scored the go-ahead goal seven minutes from time to lift Whitko to its first victory, 2-1, over the visiting Lady Warriors.

Sidney Overmyer pulled Whitko even at 1-1 with a goal in the 58th minute off a corner kick. Both goals were set up by Charlotte Cripe.

Wawasee got on the board with a Hannah Lancaster goal in the final minute of the first half, set up by Natalie Winters with just 15 seconds remaining before the horn.

Wawasee would outshoot Whitko 15-5, but Julia Seifert stopped the other 14 chances.

Whitko (1-6) will visit conference rival Wabash Saturday while Wawasee (1-7-1) will head to Columbia City Tuesday.
