Karen R. Turner, 73, Rochester, passed away at 8:45 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2018, at her residence.

She was born on Aug. 14, 1945, in Burlington, Wisc., the daughter of Dairl Border and Flora (Amend) Border Rudaski. On July 5, 1997, in Rochester, she married Raymon Turner and he survives.

She had worked at Marshall Electric, Chamberlains, Salty’s and the Dugout. She was a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Eagles Auxiliaries. She enjoyed gardening, antiquing and following the Green Bay Packers.

Survivors include her husband, Raymon Turner, Rochester; son, William and wife Samantha Shafer, New Palestine; grandchildren: Amber Koebcke, North Webster; Mitchell Howard, Marion; Chelsea Shafer, Bryan, Ohio; Peyton Bowers, Antwerp, Ohio; Savana Fox, Indianapolis; Lylian Shafer, New Palestine; six great grandchildren; brothers: William and wife Sharon Border, Deatsville, Ala.; Duane and wife Cynthia Border, Rochester; David and wife Deborah Border, Rochester; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Mary Rose Bedics, brother, Byron Border, sister, Joanne Loper, step-mother, Wilma Border, step fathers, Art Peterson and Richard Rudaski and step sister, Sharon Walker.

Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m., Saturday. Sept. 8, at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester. Memorial contributions may be made to Riley Children’s Hospital, Indianapolis
