STURGIS, MICH. — According to Michigan Amber Alert, investigators believe a Michigan man who abducted his children has crossed into Indiana.

Indiana State Police have also issued an Amber Alert in response.

An Amber Alert was issued Thursday morning for three children from Sturgis.

Police say the kids where taken from their home by their father, Fernando Cruz. His last known location was near Fremont, IN.

The children are ​​​​​​5-year-old Chelsey Lopez, 4-year-old Matteo Nieves and 2-year-old Aldo Cruz.

Cruz allegedly made comments that he was going to harm both himself and his children. Right now, he is considered armed and dangerous.

Cruz was last seen driving a black 2009 Chevy Traverse with a Michigan license plate of DWH9204.

Indiana State Police say they pursued a vehicle on the Toll Road Thursday morning, which matched that description. However, the car in question was not captured.
