SYRACUSE — The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced that the railroad crossing on SR 13 (Huntington Street) Syracuse, will be closed starting Tuesday, Sept. 4, weather permitting. The crossing will re-open at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, again weather permitting.

State officials state SR 13 will be closed between East Medusa Street and Railroad Avenue between those dates. The closure is to allow INDOT maintenance crews to remove abandoned railroad tracks from that area.

The official state detour is US 6 to SR 15 to US 30. Local detours may be available.
