SILVER LAKE — A Silver Lake woman is facing multiple drug charges and two of her associates are currently wanted stemming from a visit by police in May to her residence.

Dana Mishelle Miller, 20, 10344 S. Roosevelt St., Silver Lake, is charged with possession of methamphetamine, a level 3 felony; possession of a narcotic drug, a level 6 felony; and possession of paraphernalia, a class C misdemeanor.
Police said that on May 11, officers were directed to the Roosevelt Street residence by callers who reported that methamphetamine was being manufactured. Officers approached the residence and reported smelling the odor of marijuana emitting from the house. Police said Eric Salyer eventually opened the door and added that marijuana and various forms of paraphernalia were in plain view.
When police entered the house, they eventually found Michael Trosper, Miller, Ashtyn De Melo and Kayla Anderson hiding in various places throughout the home. Anderson was arrested Aug. 4 for visiting a common nuisance. Trosper, Demelo, and Salyer were arrested May 11. Trosper and Demelo are currently wanted after failing to appear for their Aug. 9 initial hearing.
During the police’s home visit in May, Miller told police there was more methamphetamine in the residence but would not give consent for an additional search, prompting officers to gain a search warrant. During searches of both the residence and of Demelo’s car, officers found marijuana, methamphetamine and heroin as well as syringes and other forms of paraphernalia.
Officers intercepted text messages between Trosper and Demelo in regard to the sale and purchase of large amounts of methamphetamine. Salyer told police that large quantities of methamphetamine had been delivered to Trosper at the residence just prior to the arrival of police.
Miller was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on Aug. 27. A preliminary hearing date has not yet been set.
