Sara J. Mozdren, 80, Winona Lake, passed away 9:34 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2018, in Lutheran Hospital of Indiana, Fort Wayne. She was born Feb. 16, 1938, to Victor and Mary (Nitzschke) Maryanski in Chicago. 

She was united in marriage to Donald F. Mozdren on May 9, 1959, in Chicago. She moved to Warsaw in 1992 and was formerly of Bolingbrook, Ill. She worked as a Bank Teller at Lake City Bank and retired in 2003. She was member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw. She also enjoyed being a care giver; especially to her family, which considered her “the best mom in the whole world.” In addition, she enjoyed her puzzles and loved her family dearly.

She is survived by her daughters: Deborah (Terence) Hoffer, Whitestown; Denise (Joe) Reifsteck, Allen, Texas; Darlene Burkel (fiancé Roger Rapsavage), Warsaw; Leona (Robert) Harris, Warsaw; five grandchildren also survive. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald F. Mozdren; one brother, Vincent Maryanski; and one sister, Gertrude Lipka.

A prayer service will be held at noon, Saturday, Aug. 25, in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw.  Visitation will be two hours prior from 10 a.m.-noon in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw.  Father Jonathan Norton will officiate the Prayer Service. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
