
Gerald L. Roberts, 76, Rochester, passed away at 7:15 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2018, at Hickory Creek of Rochester.
He was born Aug. 26, 1941, in LaPorte, the son of Max and Lucy (Emerick) Roberts. On Dec. 29, 1989, in Valparaiso, he married Judy Dennison and she survives.
Mr. Roberts had been a truck driver. He worked for Seneca Petroleum of Valparaiso, for over thirty years and transported liquid gas for Cryogenic of LaPorte until his retirement.
He had been a member of the American Legion Post #502 and enjoyed collecting, die-cast semi’s, cars, and trucks, beer steins, baseball caps, stamps, legos and model trains.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Roberts, Rochester; children: Rick (Monika Manuszak) Roberts, Rochester; Crystal Sons, Peru; Kelly Roberts, Massachusetts; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Nancy Campbell, Koontz Lake. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Don Saulsgiver.
A time to celebrate Gerald Roberts’ life will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, at his residence, 1310 E. 4th Street Rochester. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fulton County Animal Adoption and Education Center. Arrangements by Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester
