Michael Hapner, 51, Fort Wayne, passed away Aug. 18, 2018, at his home.

He was born April 21, 1967, in Elkhart to Joe and Donna (Steglich) Hapner.  He is survived by his mother: Donna (Gregg) Coon, Big Lake; his father: Joe (JoAnn) Hapner, Syracuse; brother: Shawn (Nan) Hapner, Warsaw; four step brothers: Dale (Kathy) Woods, Ligonier; Carl (Tebby) Woods, Ligonier; Rex (Cindy) Woods, Rockford, Ill.; and Randy (Rose) Woods, Goshen.  He is also survived by his companion Joe Purcell of Fort Wayne.

Private family services will be held. Eastlund Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
