Nancy M. Savala, 79, Milford, passed away at 2:15 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2018, at Lakeland Rehab & Healthcare in Milford. She was born Feb. 25, 1939, in Bremen to Albert and Mary Ellen (Wisler) Stevens.

She grew up in Wakarusa and attended Wakarusa High School. She was married Dec. 29, 1988, in Reno, Nev. to Lollie A. Savala, who preceded her on April 11, 2007. She also lived in New Paris and Woodland, Calif., before moving to Milford for the past 30 years. She was formerly employed at Holiday Rambler in Wakarusa and Woodland, Calif., and was the former manager of Whetten Pizza in Milford for 21 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Pam (Richie) Walker, Milford; two sons, Steve Whetten Sr., Syracuse and Albert Whetten, Woodland, Calif.; three grandchildren, Steve Whetten Jr., Cory Whetten and Stephanie Whetten; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Barbara (Ryner) Williams, Suntan Valley, Ariz.; three brothers, Eugene (Mary Ann) Stevens, Mishawaka; Edwin Stevens, Wakarusa; Rick (Ann) Stevens, Goshen.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Russell Whetten; and sister, Betty Milton.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will take place in the Milford Cemetery.
