Kosciusko County Under Severe Thunderstorm Warning

The National Weather Service in Northern Indiana has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for northeastern Kosciusko County until 8:30 p.m.

At 7:44 p.m. severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Topeka to near New Paris, moving southeast at 25 mph.

Hazards include 60 mph wind gusts.

Expect damage to roofs, siding and trees.

Locations impacted include Goshen, Ligonier, Syracuse, Millersburg, New Paris, Benton, Cromwell, Kimmel, Lake Wawasee, Oakwood Park and Waterford Mills.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
