Pierceton

Officers with the Pierceton Police Department investigated the following accidents:

4:15 p.m. Monday, Aug. 6, SR 13, south of Church Street, Pierceotn. Drivers: Danny E. Shepherd, 52, North Street, Sidney; Amanda E. Wilderman, 37, SR 13, Pierceton. Shepherd was driving his vehicle southbound on SR 13 behind Wilderman’s vehicle. Wilderman stopped her vehicle and Shepherd was unable to stop in time to avoid a rear-end collision. Damage up to $10,000.

10:57 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, SR 13, north of East Tulip Street, Pierceton. Drivers: Shawn D. Dennis, 39, West Columbia Street, Pierceton; Delmer Prater, 72, East Center Street, Sidney. According to police, Dennis was in his vehicle, in a parking lot attempting to turn left onto SR 13. Prater was driving his vehicle northbound on SR 13 and began passing stopped traffic. Dennis was waved out of the parking lot by a stopped motorist. His vehicle struck Prater’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.

Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:

12:32 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, East Center Street, near Eastlake Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Joshua D. Flenar, 36, West Prairie Drive, Leesburg; and Blake D. Pilcher, 40, West CR 200N, Warsaw. Flenar was eastbound on East Center Street when a traffic light turned green. He didn’t notice Pilcher’s vehicle still stopped in front of him. Flenar’s vehicle rear-ended Pilcher’s. Damage up to $5,000.
