SYRACUSE – The epidemic plaguing high school athletics has found its way to Wawasee.

Among the many unfortunate announcements so far this early fall season is the note from Wawasee athletic director Cory Schutz that the girls soccer program will not field a team this season due to a lack of players.

Forging ahead, the program announced adjustments to its varsity-only schedule:

Aug. 13 varsity at home against Lakeland at 6 p.m.
Aug. 15 varsity at West Noble at 5 p.m.
Aug. 18 varsity at home against Westview at 1:30 p.m.
Aug. 25 varsity at home against Concord at 3:15 p.m.
Sept. 1 varsity at Goshen at 10 a.m.
Sept. 20 varsity at Plymouth at 6 p.m.

Other changes to the schedule will be made as times are confirmed. We will update this post as those changes are made.
