Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accident:
5:20 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, 4987 N. SR 13, Pierceton. Drivers: Douglas D. Smith, 63, West Himes Street, North Webster; and Eric S. Owendy, 25, Seabrook Street, Newport, Tenn. Owendy said Smith backed into his vehicle while in a gas station parking lot. The vehicle left the scene. Smith said he didn’t realize he backed into Owendy’s vehicle. Damage up to $1,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
5:16 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, North Parker Street, near US 30, Warsaw. Drivers: Cassandra McClelland, 26, North CR 100E, Warsaw; Desmond J. Hudson, 22, Jean Street, Winona Lake; and Holly R. Owens, 43, East Pine Drive, Warsaw. McClelland was traveling north on North Parker Street when she looked to see if she could change lanes. When she looked forward, Hudson’s vehicle was stopped in front of her. She rear-ended Hudson’s vehicle. The impact from the collision caused Hudson’s vehicle to rear-end Owens’ vehicle. Damage up to $25,000.
Winona Lake
Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
5:44 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, West Market Street, near North Fifth Street, Pierceton. Driver: Rhonda G. McCleary, 55, Country Club Road, Warsaw. McCleary was traveling north on Fifth Street when her vehicle went off the roadway, striking a NIPSCO pole. McCleary stated she had been drinking moonshine. Damage up to $10,000.
