WARSAW — On Thursday, Aug. 2, in partnership with the Indiana Manufacturers Association and OrthoWorx, Zimmer Biomet is hosting Workforce Development: Addressing Indiana’s Talent Needs Today and Tomorrow, in Warsaw.

Indiana remains one of the friendliest states in the U.S. in which to operate a business, and the growth of the manufacturing sector has led to significant employment gains in the state.  This has also led to extremely low unemployment rates and a strong economy.  However, as Indiana companies like Zimmer Biomet grow and Team Members reach retirement age, innovative policies are needed to help support a pipeline for new talent.

This event will provide an opportunity to discuss ways that state and local governments can work with industry to address challenges in attracting and retaining the skilled workforce needed to continue Indiana’s current business success.

“Through our investments in infrastructure and quality of place assets, we are transforming our community and enhancing our ability to attract and retain talent,” said Warsaw Mayor Joe Thallemer.  “I’m committed to working with Zimmer Biomet to ensure Warsaw, Indiana, continues to be a leader in medical device manufacturing.”
