KOSCIUSKO —A Warsaw man is facing multiple drug charges after the driver of a vehicle he was riding in disregarded a traffic signal.

Christopher Dwight Spangle

Christopher Dwight Spangle, 33, 2157 E. CR 250S, Warsaw, is being charged with possession or use of a legend drug, a level 6 felony; possession of marijuana, a class B misdemeanor; and possession of paraphernalia.

On July 19, an officer with the Indiana State Police observed a silver minivan disregard the automatic traffic signal at Rozella Road and SR 15. The officer conducted a traffic stop and identified Spangle as the front seat passenger. Spangle had an active warrant for his arrest.

The officer arrested Spangle on the warrant and searched his person. A plastic bag with 10 capsules was located on his person. The capsules were identified as the legend drug hydroxyzine. Under the passenger seat, the officer located a smoking device with marijuana residue.

Spangle admitted the marijuana and smoking device belonged to him. He further advised that he did not have a prescription for the legend drug.

Spangle was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on July 19, with a $5,250 surety and cash bond. He has an initial hearing date of Sept. 20.
