Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
5:59 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, South CR 700W, west of West CR 700S, Claypool. Drivers: Charles F. Greer, 24, South Yellow View Lane, Claypool; Jennifer L. Witham, 35, West Section Street, Milford. Greer told police he was driving his vehicle eastbound on CR 700S when Witham’s vehicle slowed and then stopped suddenly. He said he was unable to stop his car in time to avoid a rear-end collision. Damage up to $10,000.
2:06 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, South SR 25, south of West CR 250S, Warsaw. Driver: Andrew N. Bennett, 35, North Tucker Street, Mentone. Bennett told police he was driving his vehicle southwest on SR 25 and was negotiating a left-hand curve when he entered the curve too fast, causing his to over-steer. He told police his vehicle began to travel sideways, leaving the west side of the roadway and rolling over onto the driver’s side. Both Bennett and passenger Madison Kreamer-Bennett, 13, Mentone, were transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital for further treatment of injuries related to the crash. Damage up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
5:26 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, North CR 150W and Executive Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Meggen A. Davis, 23, Parent Drive, Warsaw; Morgan A. Konie, 18, Rivercrest Drive, Warsaw. Davis told police she was driving her vehicle northbound on CR 150W and saw Konie’s vehicle begin to stop and slide on the newly-resurfaced road. She said her vehicle began to slide as well and she was unable to stop before rear-ending Konie’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
5:20 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, SR 15, north of Tiger Lane, Warsaw. Drivers: Adric K. Pyle, 25, West SR 25, Mentone; Jack E. Wilhite, 63, Fisher Avenue, Warsaw. Pyle told police he was driving his vehicle southbound on SR 15 and was approaching Tiger Lane. He said he did not see Wilhite’s vehicle stopped, waiting to turn left. He said he swerved his vehicle to the right but was unable to avoid a collision with Wilhite’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
