Kosciusko

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accident:

12:42 a.m. Tuesday, July 24, South Packerton Road, south of East Pierceton Road, Winona Lake. Driver: Kyle C. Thompson, 31, East Wooster Road 24, Pierceton. Thompson was traveling north on Packerton Road when his vehicle left the roadway. Thompson’s vehicle struck a gas substation and a cluster of trees before striking a sign post and guard rail. Thompson fled the scene and was located a short distance away from the accident. Damage up to $5,000.

 

Pierceton

Officers with the Pierceton Police Department investigated the following accidents:

6:14 p.m. Friday, July 20, US 30, east of CR 250S, Pierceton. Driver: Kimberly D. McMurray, 38, Costa Blanca Court, Temple Terrace, Fla. McMurray was traveling west on US 30 when she lost control of her vehicle and struck a guard rail. Damage up to $2,500.

2:56 p.m. Friday, July 20, Old Road 30 East, near mile marker #5020, Pierceton. Drivers: Stanley W. Banyon, 72, North South Channel Drive, Syracuse; and Lillie F. Hartup, 80, East McKenna Road, Warsaw. Banyon was traveling west on Old Road 30 when the heavy rains caused his vehicle to swerve left of center, striking Hartup’s vehicle. Hartup was traveling slow due to the heavy rains. Damage up to $10,000.
