Sandra Lynn Gerth, 82, Rockford, Ill., formerly of Warsaw, passed away at 11:30 p.m., Friday, July 13, 2018, in River Bluff Nursing Home, Rockford. She was born on April 27, 1936, the daughter of the late Donald and Eleanor (Everson) Coahran.

She is survived by three children, Doug (Felicia) Hessong of Machesney Park, Ill.; Jim Hessong of Rockford, Ill.; and Don Hessong; five grandchildren, Dwayne (Kayla) Hessong of Norfolk Va.; Derek (Anna) Hessong of Norfolk, Va.; Hope (Max) Kinnemann of Rockford, Ill.; and Paige Hessong of Rockford, Ill.; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is also survived by three sisters, Donna Coahran Long Smith of New Paris; Nancy (Dennis) Coahran Geil Avery of Bremen; and Barb (Don) Bice of Milford. Predeceased by her sister Karen Boss, husband Norm Gerth and step-mother Thelma Coahran.

Sandy Gerth (Ma) was a bright and loving spirit that enjoyed reading, sewing, crocheting and spending time with those she loved, if they be near or far away. A devoted Chicago Cubs and Bears fan, she enjoyed a good game and had a soft spot for Disney movies. She made everyone feel loved and cared for even if it meant sacrificing herself. She will be remembered and missed by all those whose life she touched.

A funeral service in honor of Sandy will be held at noon on Friday, July 20, at Mishler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 461 W 900 N, Milford, IN 46542. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Warsaw.

Friends and family will be received an hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday.
