Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accident:

4 a.m. Monday, July 16, South County Farm Road and West CR 300S, Warsaw. Driver: Christopher Anderson, 31, South Packerton Road, Warsaw. Anderson told police he was driving his vehicle southbound on County Farm Road when he hit a raccoon and later noticed his vehicle began to overheat. He said his radiator may have been damaged in the incident. Damage up to $2,500.

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:

6:43 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, Eastlake Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Sierra R. Palmer, 18, West CR 200S, Warsaw. Palmer told police she was parked in the Noa Noa parking lot and looked around but didn’t see anything. She said she backed her vehicle into a parked vehicle in the parking lot. Damage up to $2,500.

4:50 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, Walton Boulevard, north of Jalynn Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Lydon J. Smith, 33, EMS C31 Lane, Warsaw; Matthew L. Meck, 23, West CR 700N, Leesburg. Police reported that Meck was driving his vehicle north on Walton Boulevard when his vehicle was struck by Smith’s vehicle. Police reported that Smith left the scene of the accident. Damage up to $5,000.

11:50 a.m. Tuesday, July 17, Enterprise Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Alexander D. Peate, 23, East CR 225S, Winona Lake. Peate told police he was backing out of a parking space and heard a sound but was not sure of whether he had hit another vehicle or not. Two witnesses told police they saw Peate’s vehicle strike another vehicle and said that Peate drove away and parked across the street to where Peate claimed to be employed. Peate later told police he did not have insurance coverage. He was cited for not maintaining insurance and the vehicle was towed. Damage up to $2,500.
