Neva B. Bishop, 93, Akron, passed away at 9:55 p.m., July 7, 2018, at Peabody Retirement Community in North Manchester. She was born Oct. 4, 1924, in Oconto, Wisc. to Marvin W. and Bessie (Yschupp) Wayne.

She graduated in 1942 from Galesburg-Augusta High School in Galesburg, Mich. and attended Western Michigan University where she received her Associate’s Degree in accounting. She was the owner/operator of Bishop Electrics in Galesburg for over 40 years and was married in Galesburg to Rudolph G. Bishop who preceded her in 2004. She was a member of the Pennock Hospital Auxiliary in Hastings, Mich. and Coast Guard Auxiliary in Key West, Fla. She lived most of her life in the Galesburg, Mich. area and moved to Akron from Hastings, Mich. in 2013.

She is survived by two daughters: Susan (James) Bishop-McFarland, Akron; and Debra (Perry) Bishop-Smith, Newberry, Mich.; two sons: Jeffrey L. Bishop, Boulder, Colo.; Paul D. Bishop, Battle Creek, Mich.; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren; sister: Violet Paladino, Chicago; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two grandsons, Michael R. McFarland and Joshua Bishop; sister, Millie Leng and brother, Warren Wayne.
