2018 Kosciusko 4-H Royal Court Announced

KOSCIUSKO — Jackson Templin, Leesburg, and Madelyn Zimmerman, Milford, were crowned the 2018 Kosciusko County 4-H King and Queen at the County 4-H Public Fashion Revue and Awards Night Thursday, July 5. Isaiah Stouder, Syracuse, and Valerie Messmore, Pierceton, were crowned 2018 Kosciusko County 4-H Prince and Princess. 

Templin is the son of Terry and Karen Templin. He is a member of the Milford Helping Hands 4-H Club and served as the club’s vice president, treasurer and recreation leader. His 4-H projects include beef, sheep, swine, goat, dairy calf feeder steer, dairy steer, recycling, dog poster and create-with-a-mix. Templin will be a junior at Wawasee High School this fall. Following high school graduation, he plans to enter college to major in either ag engineering or agribusiness. 

Zimmerman is the daughter of John and Peg Zimmerman. She is a nine year 4-H member and also a member of the Milford Helping Hands 4-H Club. She has served her local club as president, vice president and reporter. Zimmerman’s projects are beef, swine, foods, photography, creative writing, create-with-a-mix, sewing and consumer clothing. She will be a senior at Wawasee High School this fall and plans to attend Kansas State to double major in agriculture communications and cattle reproduction. 

Stouder is the son of Rich and Naomi Stouder. This is his eighth year in Kosciusko County 4-H. He is a member of the Milford Helping Hands 4-H Club and held the office of vice president. Stouder’s projects include dairy, robotics, collections, wildlife, legos, sport fishing, electric, woodworking, farm toy scene, dog poster and miscellaneous crafts. He will be a junior at the Syracuse Christian Academy in the fall. His future plans are to enter the United States Marine Corp. and serve 20 years to receive a military pension. 

Messmore is the daughter of Brent and Renea Messmore. She is completing her ninth year of 4-H. Her 4-H projects are horse and pony, dairy steers, dairy calf feeder steers, dairy, photography and sheep. She is a member of the Horse and Pony Club. Messmore has served as her club’s president, vice president, refreshment coordinator and treasurer. She will be a senior at Warsaw Community High School this fall. Following graduation, Messmore plans to attend Purdue to major in accounting or finance.
