SYRACUSE — Syracuse Redevelopment Commission held a brief meeting to get through bookkeeping items, Thursday morning, June 28. Syracuse Clerk-Treasurer Paula Kehr-Wicker administered the oath of office to Paul Stoelting, Dan VanLue and Henry DeJulia, town manager.

Larry Siegel was absent and no replacement for Ernie Rogers has been selected.

The commission approved there was no excess value in the tax increment finance districts in town. DeJulia explained excess accessed value was considered extra money not being spent on projects, and that isn’t the case.

Kehr-Wicker handed out information she received at a recent conference on what a redevelopment commission does and what a TIF district does. She thought it would provide some insight on the regulations the commission operates under.

VanLue asked about Travel Lite’s progress in the industrial park. DeJulia said he wasn’t sure.
