KOSCIUSKO — A Milford woman was arrested after stealing a debit card and using it to make purchases.

Katarzyna Johnson, 37, 427 East CR 1150N, Milford, is being charged with fraud, a level 6 felony; and theft, a class A misdemeanor.

On March 5, a female subject filed a report at the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department regarding a stolen debit card. The female discovered that there were unauthorized transactions from Amazon using her debit card.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, on March 27, a second female subject stated she was contacted by Johnson. Johnson told the female that she was going to have some packages delivered to her residence.

The packages arrived under the name of the female subject whose debit card was stolen. Johnson’s son picked up the packages from the residence.

On May 4, officers spoke with a male and third female subject. Both stated that they had seen Johnson purchase items with the stolen debit card.

Johnson was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on June 27, with a $5,250 surety and cash bond.
