KOSCIUSKO — The National Weather Service of Northern Indiana has declared a flash flood watch for Kosciusko County. The watch will remain in effect until midnight tonight, June 22.

Numerous showers and thunderstorms along and south of US 24 are expected to develop northward toward the US 30 corridor this afternoon. These showers and thunderstorms have the potential to produce heavy rainfall of 1 to 2 inches in a short period of time. A localized flash flooding threat will be possible due to this additional heavy rainfall, especially for areas which have received heavy rainfall over the past 24 hours where the ground is saturated.

Other counties included in the watch are Allen, Cass, Fulton, Huntington, Marshall and Whitley counties.
