Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:

6:31 a.m. Friday, June 15, East US 30, west of South CR 900E, Pierceton. Driver: Christopher Cornelius, 25, East CR 200S, Knox. Cornelius was traveling east on US 30 when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.

9:08 a.m. Thursday, June 14, South CR 1000W, north of West CR 600S, Mentone. Drivers: Dixie S. Secrist, 77, South CR 1000W, Mentone; and Beverly J. Brubaker, 66, South CR 1000W, Claypool. Secrist was traveling north on CR 1000W when she stopped at her mailbox. When she merged back into the appropriate lane of travel, she side-swiped Brubaker’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.

4:45 p.m. Monday, June 11, South SR 15, north of West CR 300S, Warsaw. Driver: Heather B. Beery, 42, West CR 1400N, North Manchester. Beery was traveling south on SR 15 when a deer ran into the roadway. Damage up to $2,500.

Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:

12:37 a.m. Friday, June 15, Fisher Avenue, south of Kincaide Street. Driver: Marcin Ormaniec, 38, Al. Gen. Andersa 11, Bielsko-Biata, Netherlands. Ormaniec’s vehicle left the roadway, hitting a mailbox and two sections of fencing. Damage up to $2,500.

2:54 p.m. Thursday, June 14, 1007 North Warren St. Drivers: Brenda R. Baker, 53, North State Road 5, Cromwell; and Cheryl D. Coburn, 57, West Lincolnway, Columbia City. Baker was backing out of a parking space when her vehicle struck Coburn’s. Damage up to $2,500.

12:40 p.m. Thursday, June 14, East Center Street, south of Eastlake Drive. Drivers: Kali K. Bryant, 19, East US 30 Lot 100, Pierceton; and Edmund J. Leprie, 47, South CR 800W, Kimmell. Bryant was traveling west on Center Street when she attempted to turn left at an intersection. She did not see Leprie’s vehicle traveling eastbound, causing Leprie’s vehicle to strike Bryant’s. Damage up to $10,000.

6:07 p.m. Monday, June 11, 3454 North Detroit St. Driver: unknown. Gale Emmons, Warsaw, stated that his vehicle was parked and unoccupied when it sustained damage. There is no current information on how the damage occurred. Damage up to $2,500.

8:34 p.m. Sunday, June 10, 2519 East Center St. Driver: Kristin S. Robertson, 57, South Ferry Street, Grand Haven, Mich. Robertson was backing up her vehicle in a parking lot when she struck a vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
