Kosciusko

Officers from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:

12:25 p.m. Saturday, June 9, East SR 14, east of South Packerton Road, North Manchester. Drivers: Connie Stephens, 56, South SR 19, Mentone; Cindy L Lindsey, 51, Kent Drive, Rochester. Stephens told police she was driving her vehicle westbound on SR 14 preparing to turn left into the parking lot of Eel River Church. She said she did not see the vehicle driven by Lindsey, which was eastbound, and pulled into the path of Lindsey’s vehicle. Damage up to $50,000.

5:51 a.m. Saturday, June 9, West US 30, west of North SR 19, Etna Green. Driver: Donel R. Doan, 48, North Washington Street, Bourbon. Doan told police he was driving his vehicle eastbound on US 30 when a deer entered the roadway. He was unable to avoid hitting the deer. Damage up to $10,000.

12:04 a.m. Saturday, June 9, North CR 175E, south of East CR 175N, Warsaw. Driver: Hugo E. Bautista Romo, 18, East CR 200N, Warsaw. Bautista Romo told police he was driving his vehicle northbound on CR 175E when a possum ran in front of his vehicle. He tried to avoid hitting the animal and drove off the roadway, hitting a guardrail. Damage up to $5,000.

10:03 p.m. Friday, June 8, South SR 13 and East CR 600S, Pierceton. Driver: Kyle D. Fletcher, 26, East Azalea Lane, Bloomington. Fletcher told police he was driving his vehicle northbound on SR 13 when a deer entered the roadway. He was unable to avoid hitting the deer. Damage up to $5,000.

North Webster

Officers from the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accident:

11:36 a.m. Saturday, June 9, Ward Lane and West Washington, North Webster. Driver: Jonathan T. Kern, 40, East CR 500N, North Webster. Kern told police he was backing his vehicle out of a parking spot and collided with a parked vehicle. Damage up to $1,000.

Warsaw

Officers from the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:

3:13 p.m. Sunday, June 10, Mariner’s Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Ella R. Williamson, 17, North Sullivan Road, Leesburg. Williamson told police she was turning her vehicle into a parking space when it collided with a parked vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.

12:26 p.m. Sunday, June 10, East Winona Avenue, west of South Detroit Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Cole M. Davis, 17, South Detroit Street, Warsaw; Jimmy C. Vandersaul, 74, North CR 650W, Warsaw. Davis told police he was driving his vehicle southbound on SR 15 and was planning to turn right onto Winona Avenue. He told police his vehicle lost traction, causing it to cross the center line and strike Vandersaul’s vehicle, which was stopped in traffic. Damage up to $5,000.

5:46 p.m. Friday, June 8, Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Amy M. Hager told police that an unknown vehicle had collided with her parked vehicle, causing damage. Damage up to $1,000.

2:07 p.m. Friday, June 8, US 30, east of Parker Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Miranda R. Moss, 24, Heide Lane, Milford; Hanna L. Vela, 26, EMS B40 Lane, Leesburg; Zachary S. Erba, 25, East Center Street, Warsaw. Moss told police she was driving her vehicle westbound on US 30 and observed the vehicle driven by Vela slowing down for heavy traffic. She said she was unable to slow down in time to avoid rear-ending Vela’s vehicle, which in turn rear-ended Erba’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
