CLAYPOOL  —  At approximately 6:20 p.m. Thursday, June 7, emergency personnel responded to report of a head-on collision with entrapment in the area of SR 15 and CR 550S, Claypool, between a car and a Pilot Flying J tanker. The car ended up in a field on the east side of SR 15, with the tanker partially off the west side of the road.

A female had to be extricated from the car. Lutheran Air was called to the scene, with at least one person being air-lifted.

Silver Lake Fire, Clay Township Fire, Warsaw-Wayne Fire, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, Warsaw Police Department and Lutheran EMS assisted at the scene.
