Mamie Lucille Wood, 96, Lakeland, Fla. and formerly of Warsaw, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2018, in Goodshepherd Hospice Lakeland, Fla. She was born Aug. 28,1921, to Oliver and Winnie Bentz in South Whitley, Indiana.

She was united in marriage July 21, 1944, to Orville Wood. Survivors include a daughter, Carol Fryer and son-in-law, Wayne Fryer, Lakeland, Fla.; and a sister, Mabel Reed, South Whitley. She is preceded in death by husband, Orville Wood, son, Mark K. Wood, two sisters, and three brothers. She was employed at Miller’s Merry Manor in Warsaw.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m., Thursday June 7, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw with Pastor William Whitaker officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.

The family is requesting that memorial contributions be made to the donor’s choice.
