Eugene A. Hochstetler, 60, of Nappanee, died unexpectedly at 11:45 a.m., Thursday, May 31, 2018, at his residence of natural causes.

He was born May 16, 1958, in Bremen to Ammon J. and Edith (Burkholder) Hochstetler.  Hochstetler was a lifetime area resident. He worked at Holiday Rambler in the cabinet shop. On March 17, 1999, he married Deborah Dahlberg in Nappanee. Eugene enjoyed attending and serving at Nappanee Missionary Church after accepting Christ as his Savior and enjoyed helping those in need.

Eugene is survived by his wife: Deborah; grandchildren: Pierce, Ariana, and Nicolas; father and stepmother: Ammon J. (Katie Ann) Hochstetler, Nappanee; brothers: Gerald (Marlene) Hochstetler, Salem, Keith (Rhoda) Hochstetler, Middlebury, Nathan Hochstetler, Nappanee; sisters: Joan (Mark) Stutzman,  Etna Green, Leoda (Art) Graber, Odon, Sandra Hochstetler, Nappanee, Sharon Hochstetler, Bremen, Linda Fern (Lewis) Miller, Goshen, Leona Marie (Vernon) Bontrager, Wolcotville, Wanita Kay (Keith) Lengacher, Mongomery; step brothers: Earl Dean (Rachel Rose) Miller, Odon, Jerry Wayne (Donita) Miller, Nappanee, Dennis Lee (Malinda) Miller, Etna Green; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Edith; two nephews and a niece.

Family and friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m., Sunday, June 3, at the Mark Stutzman residence, 7806 W  CR 750N, Etna  Green. Procession will leave at 3 p.m. for a graveside service at South Union Cemetery, Nappanee.

Memorial Contributions may be given to Nappanee Open Door or Family Christian Development Center.
