
Jimmie Bryon Thomas, 82, Warsaw, passed away at 8:55 a.m. on Saturday, May 26, 2018.
He was born on April 28, 1936, in Kennett, Missouri to Herbert Thomas and Golda May (Alsup) Thomas. On Jan. 5, 1965, he was married to Loretta L. (Hunt) Thomas, who passed away on Sept. 25, 2017.
Mr. Thomas attended Beaver Dam School, and in 1955 he joined the U.S. Army. He proudly served for two years in Germany. He was a truck driver out of California for many years, and then drove a tour bus. In later years he volunteered as a security guard for Kemrad in Warsaw. Mr. Brown was a kind and trusting soul who enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, fishing and was an avid bird watcher. He will be dearly missed by those who loved him.
He will be lovingly remembered by his two sisters: Hettie De Rossett, Warsaw; Sue Priest, Indianapolis; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and one step-grandson.
A memorial service will be conducted at the New Beginnings Community Church, Atwood, at 10 a.m., Saturday June 9, officiated by Pastor Dennis L. Bollenbacher. A private burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw. Arrangements are entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, IN.
