Mr. Robert H. “Bob”  Keene, 69, of Rochester passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at his residence

On Aug. 2, 1948, Robert Harvey Keene was born in Fulton County. He was a treasured son  of Franklin Glennon and Delia Ann Hall Keene. Growing up he shared his childhood with two sisters and two brothers. With great Trojan pride, he graduated from Triton High School in 1966.

In Tippecanoe, Bob Keene married the love of his life, Alberta Rose McCloughan, Feb. 3, 1968. They shared 41 and a half years of life’s adventures. From their union came two wonderful children, Jackie and Randy. The family tree continued to grow with the added blessings of three grandchildren.

Patriotism beckoned and Mr. Keene answered the call serving our country during the Vietnam War with the United States Air Force. His stint of service included time at the Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tuscon, Ariz. He was a technical support specialist for the Titan II.

As an entrepreneur, Mr. Keene did custom welding as the owner and operator of Bob’s Welding, helping many area farmers with their requests. In about 1986, he closed his welding shop and began working at Moore’s Business Forms.

To relax, Mr. Keene enjoyed the speed and thrill of Moto Cross racing. Tracks he frequented were North Webster, Akron and Red Bud near Buchanan, Mich. When he wasn’t racing he spent time in his shop fine tuning the engines to maximize their performance.  The gift and excitement of racing is a legacy both Randy and Jackie have carried on.

Left to cherish his memory are a daughter, Jackie Wyatt and husband Mark of Warsaw; a son, Randy Keene and wife Sarah of Waterloo; two grandchildren: Jamison and Jazzden Wyatt; two sisters: Becky Hisey and husband Bob of Rochester, and Patricia Honeycutt and husband Royd of Tippecanoe; two brothers: Michael Keene and wife Kimberly of Mount Vernon, and Steven Keene and wife Cindy of Warsaw; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Bob Keene in death are his parents, Franklin and Delia Keene, his beloved wife Alberta Rose Keene on Sept. 4, 2009 and infant granddaughter Sidney Wyatt.

Pastor Phil Pratt will officiate services. Military rites will be conducted by the Fulton County Veterans Honor Guard and the Wright-Patterson Air Force Honors Team. Interment will be in the Tippecanoe Cemetery.
