Rose Marie Cooley
Rose Marie Cooley, 90, residing in Ligonier, passed away at 6:40 p.m., Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at Avalon Village Nursing Home. She was born on March 20, 1928, to Frederick and Margaret Goetz (Wheeler) Dunlap in Erie, Penn. A lifelong resident of Erie, Penn, until her health began to fail. She then moved to Ligonier to be closer to her son and daughter.
Mrs. Cooley was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her family. She loved to crochet, play cards, and really liked birds and cats. She attended St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Ligonier. While an Erie resident, she was a member of St. Patrick’s Church in Erie, Penn.
She is survived by her daughter, Rose Yankosky, North Webster; her son, Frederick Cooley, North Webster; grandchildren, David (Deborah) Yankosky Jr., Syracuse; Michael (Octavia) Yankosky, Goshen; Barbara Yankosky, Elkhart; great grandchildren: Catherine, David III, Eric, Casey, all of Syracuse; Kristin, Michael Jr., Tapanga, Elizabeth, Christopher, Savannah; a great-great grandson, Stephone, all of Goshen; and three sisters: Doris Druzak, Regina Adamowicz and Marylu (Joseph) Isaacs, all of Erie, Penn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick Goetz and Margaret Dunlap; sister, Donna Goetz; and great grandson, Jacob.
A time of viewing will be held from 3-7 p.m., Tuesday, May 29, at Yeager Funeral Home – 1589 Lincolnway South Ligonier, IN 46767.
A funeral service will be held in Mrs. Cooley’s honor at 7 p.m., Tuesday, May 29, at Yeager Funeral Home with Father Wilson Corzo officiating. A private burial will take place at a later date in Erie, Penn.
