WARSAW — The next rail train could arrive as early as this afternoon, May 23, contingent on train traffic on the rail line. This train will unload rail from Fort Wayne Street in Warsaw to the vicinity of CR 600N in the Leesburg area.

While the goal is to unload the entire train in one window of time, train traffic may cause this project to be broken into multiple segments, as was recently experienced in the Claypool and Warsaw areas.

During this next phase of unloading, rail crossings that will be affected are Fort Wayne Street, Arthur Street, Lyon Street, Anchorage Road/East CR 200N, East CR 250N, East CR 350N, Levi Lee Road and possibly West CR 600N.

City of Warsaw personnel will work with the railroad crews to divert traffic away from Anchorage Road/East CR 200N as much as possible to avoid congestion while that crossing is closed.

All motorists are strongly advised to plan alternate routes and abide by all detours, barricades and closures. This protects both City and railroad workers, as well as motorists and their vehicles.

Closures are expected to last approximately 15-30 minutes.
