KOSCIUSKO — The Lake Tippecanoe Property Owners is sponsoring a safe boating class.

It is free of charge and open to the public, with classes being held at the Patona Bay Showroom on Lake Tippecanoe, located at 2 EMS T33B Lane, Leesburg.

The course will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 14; 5:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 15; and 8 to 9 a.m. Saturday, June 16.

This class will be instructed by officers from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources. The Indiana Boater Education Course will provide instruction on general boating knowledge, nautical terms, maintenance, and emergency response.

All materials for the class are provided, and to be certified, all three classes must be attended. Refreshments will be available, compliments of the Lake Tippecanoe Women’s Association.

Following the certificate presentation on June 16, there will be an in-water wake board presentation along with the DNR patrol boat display. Light lunch for students and family will be provided.
