MILFORD — A local man, who is familiar to police, has been apprehended after making threats to shoot any police officer who came into the woods where he had retreated. No one was injured in the manhunt.

Events began around 3:24 p.m. when police were notified of a criminal mischief in the area of Bowser Road and CR 1200N. The suspect, who is reportedly David Zentz, damaged a vehicle and then took off toward a nearby woods east of CR 250N. Officers from numerous agencies and K9 units converged in the area, prohibiting traveling in the area until the suspect was apprehended.

A K9 officer located Zentz on the east side of the woods, which is behind the Lake of the Valley Subdivision, on the south edge of Camelot Lake. The manhunt ended about 4:45 p.m.

The woods is owned by Ben Waldbesser.
