ETNA GREEN — At approximately 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, emergency personnel responded to a report of a child hit by a vehicle.

The accident occurred near 9418 W. CR 225N, Etna Green. A 5-year-old child was in the roadway when a Dodge Grand Caravan struck the child. The child sustained a laceration to the head and was transported by Lutheran Air II to a hospital in Fort Wayne.

Etna Green Fire Department and Etna Township First Responders were assisted at the scene by the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, Lutheran EMS Kosciusko, and the Mentone Police Department.
