Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:

4:29 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, Argonne Road and East Market Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Michael E. Swindle, 53, Kelly Street, Winona Lake, and Lauren M. Endsley, 31, Westwood Road, Winona Lake. The vehicles collided at the intersection. Damage up to $25,000. 

3:45 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, Kincaide Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Nicole M. Wisenbaugh, 30, Kuder Lane, Warsaw, and Elena D. Dagner, 43, Chapman Lake Drive, Warsaw. Wisenbaugh advised she was in the parent pick-up line at Washington Elementary School waiting to pick her children up. She advised she works third shift and fell asleep in her vehicle while waiting in line. Wisenbaugh stated that when she woke up she saw the line of cars in front of her had moved, so she began to drive forward. Dagner reported that she was in the parent pick-up line as well and that Wisenbaugh’s vehicle was in front of her and was not moving so she drove around it. She advised that as she was attempting to go around Wisenbaugh’s vehicle, Wisenbaugh’s vehicle struck the side of her vehicle. Damage up to $10,000. 

3:38 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, SR 15, south of West Prairie Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Samantha A. Condit, 27, EMS B42 Lane, Leesburg, and Steven J. Pontius, 54, South CR 1400E, Akron. Condit’s vehicle rear-ended Pontius’ vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.

8:52 a.m. Tuesday, May 1, North Detroit St., north of West CR 350N. Drivers: Karen L. Veach, 52, South CR 450W, Claypool, and Eduardo A. Duenas-Duron, 18, East Pierceton Road, Winona Lake. Veach stated that the traffic light turned green and traffic began to move. She took her eyes off the road momentarily and when she looked back up, Duenas-Duron’s vehicle was stopped in the roadway. Veach’s vehicle rear-ended Duenas-Duron’s. Damage up to $10,000.

5:30 p.m. Thursday, April 26, SR 15 and Anchorage Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Gordon E. Scott, 62, Lakeview Drive, Winona Lake, and Rico A. Valdez, 25, Wexford Place, Warsaw. Scott advised he was driving west on Anchorage Road toward SR 15 and wanted to turn left to go south. Scott stated he thought the way was clear and did not see Valdez’s vehicle. Valdez advised he was driving straight across the intersection when his vehicle was struck by Scott’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
