Audrey Barnett, North Webster, passed away at 11:53 a.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at Parkview Whitley Hospital in Columbia City. She was born in Stoke Row, England to P.J. and Louise (Landen) Cox.

She attended Sonning Common Public Schools in Stoke Row and formerly lived in Tennessee and Illinois after moving to the United States in 1948. In 1951 she moved to the North Webster area from Illinois and on Jan. 2, 1954, she married Douglas “Red” Barnett in Columbia City, who preceded her on Sept. 8, 2016. She retired in 1994 from Heaters in North Webster.

She is survived by her daughter, Jan (Dave) Moore, Syracuse; a son, Marc (Cindy) Barnett, Dunnellon, Fla.; three grandchildren and six great grandchilden. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters: Mary Miller and Barbara Carter; a brother: Donald Kinner; great grandson, Quentin Moore.

 

Memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, April 30, at Owen Family Funeral Home, SR 13 andCR 500 N, North Webster, with Pastor Brad Cox of the Wawasee Lakeside Chapel officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in the Mock Addition of the North Webster Cemetery at a later date.
